Nigeria 99-90 Cameroon: D'Tigers advance to AfroBasket quarterfinals
Nigeria's D'Tigers defeated Cameroon's Indomitable Lions to secure a hard-fought 99-90 victory in their final 2025 Women's FIBA AfroBasket group game.

The win not only propelled Nigeria to the top of Group B but also guaranteed their place in the quarterfinals of the championship.
It was a battle between two unbeaten teams and Nigeria set the tone early, taking the first quarter 28-27.
They then extended their lead with a commanding 32-16 run in the second quarter.
The Nigerian team headed into the break with a commanding 17-point advantage.
Nigeria did not let up in the third quarter, dominating with a 26-12 scoring spree to extend the lead,
However, Cameroon mounted a massive comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring Nigeria 37-15.
Despite the Indomitable Lions' spirited rally, the D'Tigers held on for a nine-point victory, preserving their unbeaten record.
They have been dominant throughout the tournament and have advanced to the quarterfinals.
D'Tigers kicked off their campaign with a 77-59 win against Madagascar, where Caleb Agada went off with an outstanding performance.
In their second game, Houston Rockets star Josh Okogie stole the spotlight, dropping 33 points as Nigeria dismantled defending champions Tunisia 87-66.
With this latest victory over Cameroon, Nigeria have now won all three group games.
