While a chance to win AFCON is the biggest motivation, the Napoli man will also have personal accolades in his sight.

No Nigerian has ever scored more than 5 goals in the tournament's history, and only 5 players ever have scored 6 goals or more.

Legendary Nigerian striker Rashidi Yekini scored 5 goals in the 1994 edition to lead the Super Eagles to the trophy, ad Odion Ighalo scored 5 goals in 2019 to win the Golden Boot.

Osimhen will feel confident in his ability to find the net regularly in a group featuring Equatorial Guinea and massive underdogs Guinea-Bissau.
