Nigeria vs Zimbabwe: Warriors arrive Lagos before Super Eagles for World Cup qualifier
The Zimbabwean national football team, known as the Warriors have touched down in Lagos, Nigeria, ahead of their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.
The match, scheduled for March 25 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, is an important Group C clash in the qualifiers.
Zimbabwe arrive in Nigeria
The Warriors, under the guidance of their coaching staff, arrived in Lagos including key players like Khama Billiat, Marshall Munetsi, and Tino Kadewere.
Focused on upsetting the Super Eagles on Nigerian soil, they posted photos on their arrival at the at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and announced their relocation to Uyo venue of the game.
Along with photos, a statement by the Zimbabwe football association said, "Warriors are in Lagos enroute to Uyo."

The fixture is a must-win for both sides as Nigeria are fourth in Group C with six points from five matches after defeating Rwanda 2-0.
The Super Eagles, led by new coach Eric Chelle are coming off a morale-boosting victory in Kigali and are desperate to secure maximum points at home to climb higher in the group .
Zimbabwe needs a win after a frustrating 2-2 draw at home against Benin Republic in their previous qualifier.
The Warriors are bottom of the group with three points from five group games.
