Nigerian ace Boniface voted into Bundesliga team of the Season after Bayer Leverkusen triumph

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface is one of six Bayer Leverkusen players named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

Boniface, alongside Jonathan Tah, Jeremie Frimpong, Alejandro Grimaldo, Granit Xhaka and Florian Wirtz, all made the squad, a testament to Leverkusen’s title-winning team, who remain unbeaten in 31 league games this season.

Despite enduring a three-month injury setback, Victor Boniface has emerged as a standout performer for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

The Nigerian star has been in stunning form since joining Bayer Leverkusen from USG in the summer, scoring 10 goals and contributing 9 assists, cementing his place as one of the front runners for the signing-of-the-season award.

Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel was named the best shot-stopper, while Stuttgart’s Waldemar Anton joined three Bayer Leverkusen defenders in a back four. Two Bayer Leverkusen stars Xhaka and Wirtz join Bayern Munich prodigy Jamal Musiala in midfield.

Boniface headlines an illustrious attacking trio in the Bundesliga Team of the Season, alongside Serhou Guirassy and Harry Kane. Together, the trio has amassed an impressive tally of 71 Bundesliga goals.
