Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has earned himself a two-year contract extension with Ligue 1 club Nantes after a string of impressive performances for the French club.

Moses wins new Nantes contract

Simon joined Nantes in 2019, and his contract was supposed to expire in the summer of 2024, but Les Canaries beat out the competition for the Nigerian’s signature by getting him to sign a two-year contract extension.

The Nigerian forward will now be a Nantes player until 2026, ensuring an extended stay with Les Canaries or a sizeable transfer fee should he decide to depart.

Simon has played in 152 matches in all competitions for Nantes since 2019, scoring 28 goals in that time.

The Nigerian star has been vital to the club’s success in recent times, helping them to an unprecedented Coupe de France win, defeating the mighty Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

The Nantes forward has also been a regular for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, playing 60 times for the national team since his debut in 2015.
