Nigeria's D'Tigers vibes to Burna Boy ahead of Afrobasket opener Madagascar
Nigeria's men's national basketball team, D'Tigers are set to take part at the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament.
The team is in Angola and have showcased a vibrant energy ahead of the start of their Group Games.
D'Tigers and Burna Boy
The team led by Houston Rockets star Jos Okogie channeled the spirit of Nigerian global music icon Burna Boy.
The team on social media posted a video featuring players dancing and celebrating to Burna Boy.
D'Tigers had mixed results in two friendly games against Guinea ahead of the start of the tournament.
Led by Okogie and Caleb Agada, the team has been intensifying their training, aiming to improve upon their performance in previous tournaments

This comes as they prepare to face defending champions Tunisia, Cameroon, and Madagascar in Group B
D'Tigers aim to emulate the success of their female counterparts, D'Tigress, who recently clinched their fifth consecutive AfroBasket title against Mali.
D'Tigers failed to qualify for the Olympics and last won the African championship in 2015.
D'Tigress were rewarded by President Bola Tinubu with national honors, including the Order of the Niger (OON), $100,000 each, and a flat For their achievements.
D'Tigers will aim to start their journey to the title against Madagascar on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
