The Austrian Bundesliga side unveiled Ismail Atalan as their new head coach on Wednesday following the sacking of Dietmar Kuhbauer and Kenyans welcomed him with a firm message.

Amid Ogam’s limited game time since he signed for the club, Kenyan fans have urged the new coach to ensure he gives the Harambee Stars enough opportunities as he could be key to how long he stays at Wolfsberger.

“Next coach apatie Ogam game ama pia yeye atajikata (new coach has to give Ogam game time or he will also be sacked),” a fan posted in their reaction to the new coach’s appointment while another one had a simple message, saying: “No Ogam, no win.”

Kenyans With Clear Message for Wolfsberger Coach

“He got sacked because he benched Ogam,” another fan observed.

“Tell him that Ryan Ogam plays on each match day,” was the message from another Kenyan.

“Tell him to make sure that Ogam's happiness remains his top priority. During training, Ogam must always be smiling and laughing with his premolar and molar teeth visible.”

Another fan was forthright in his message to the new coach. He said: “Only the coach who lets Ogam play will be successful.”

Some Kenyan fans are even predicting doom for new coach Atalan if he does not play the former Tusker FC striker.

Ogam Has Had Limited Opportunities in Austria

“If the new coach doesn't play Ogam he will also be fired,” said a Kenyan fan while another one added: “Dear coach Ismail, if you don’t start Ogam, get ready for the sack in the next three months. Regards.”

“You'll keep sacking coaches until you make Ogam the captain and be on the starting 11 of every match.”

Ogam has so far played three games since joining Wolfsberger, starting two, and has missed their last four league matches.

Wolfsberger are currently fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga with 21 points from 13 matches, four behind leaders Salzburg, but have failed to win their last two league games.
