Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Nottingham Forest star Gibbs-White as they look to add quality to their squad.

Spurs secured the English international for a fee of around €70 million, moving swiftly to finalise the deal, which the 25-year-old readily accepted.

Forest to take legal action

Forest are unhappy with the circumstances surrounding the transfer and intends to lodge a complaint, according to Sportal.

The club believes Tottenham made an illegal approach for the player and, according to reports in the English media, are considering legal action.

Gibbs-White had initially attracted interest from Manchester City earlier in the transfer window, but they ultimately withdrew their pursuit.

The English international concluded last season with 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists. In total, the 25-year-old has made 118 appearances for Nottingham Forest, contributing 18 goals and 28 assists.
