The 25-year-old was part of the Super Eagles team that finished second at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He took to his official social media to celebrate his time at the AFCON now back with Nottingham Forest.

Aina said, "Great to compete in this years AFCON, it’s a shame we couldn’t bring it back home to Nigeria 🇳🇬.
"This tournament has eluded myself and a lot of others on three occasions now which is painful, but I know in the future these set of boys will get our hands on that Gold.
"Thank you once again for the support. God bless Nigeria and see you soon 🇳🇬♥️

Aina has been part of the AFCON editions in 2019, 2021 and 2024.
With a bronze medal and silver medal, Aina is expected to return as the Super Eagles chase gold in Morocco 2025.
