I wanted to quickly share some news with all of you. Over the past few months, I've been dealing with constant pain in my right elbow during both practice and matches. Despite numerous attempts to manage it, the discomfort hasn't gone away completely. After consulting with elbow specialists and having extensive discussions with my team, I've decided that arthroscopic surgery is the best option to fully resolve the problem. Yesterday, I successfully underwent the procedure, and I'm grateful it's over. Now begins the recovery journey. Over the next few weeks and months, I'll be fully focused on my rehab so I can come back stronger and healthier. This is just a short break, and I see it as a necessary step toward a better version of myself on the court. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. I can't wait to be back - see you soon! - Qinwen Zheng, via her Instagram page

The 22-year-old received a message of support from Billie Jean King. "Wishing you good health and a speedy recovery," the tennis legend wrote on Instagram.
