Oranje Shopping: Manchester United pushing to sign THIRD Dutch player after Zirkzee, De Ligt
Manchester United are reportedly interested in Netherlands midfielder Xavi Simons.
The 21-year-old Dutchman, who impressed at the Euros, especially after scoring a stunning goal against England, is attracting significant interest from top European clubs.
Xavi Simons to Manchester United?
RB Leipzig, where Simons spent last season on loan, are eager to make his stay permanent, while Bayern Munich have also joined the race. However, Manchester United are believed to be at the forefront of the chase.
PSG are yet to decide on Simons' future, but with the player seeking regular game time, a departure from the Parc de Princes seems likely.
Any potential exit would likely be a loan deal with an obligation to buy, due to a significant sell-on clause held by PSV Eindhoven, valid until 2024.
United are also pursuing deals for Netherlands internationals Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, with the latter set to complete a £34million move from Bologna after a medical today.
New co-owners INEOS are poised to beef up the team significantly as Ten Hag looks to fight on all fronts the coming season.
