Osimhen and agent disagree over Bayern Munich as PSG close in on Super Eagles star
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the Nigerian striker is not too keen on returning to Ligue 1.
Osimhen has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs all season following his performances in Serie A and Europe.
PSG jump ahead in the race to sign Osimhen
The Nigeria international has been heads and shoulders above every other person in the Italian top flight this season, scoring 21 goals in 25 games for Napoli.
Osimhen also has another five goals in six Champions League games for the Neapolitans, making him one of the top scorers in Europe this season.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Europe’s top clubs set to pounce when the transfer window opens.
Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Osimhen, but it seems they will all miss out on the Nigerian services to PSG.
According to Foot Mercato via GIFN, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda is close to securing a record-breaking move to Paris for his in-demand client.
Calenda has reportedly met with PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos, with both parties close to sealing a €150m deal, which will convince Napoli to sell their prized asset.
Osimhen wants Bayern Munich or Manchester United
However, according to reports, Osimhen is not too keen on a move to France as he favours Bundesliga and the Premier League.
Bayern Munich admire Osimhen, and it is believed that the Nigerian would be open to joining Thomas Tuchel’s side.
However, the Bavaria giants are unlikely to pay Napoli’s price of over €100m for Osimhen, ruling them out of the race.
Osimhen has also spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League, saying it is every player’s dream to play in the best league in the world.
Manchester United also have Osimhen on top of their list, but it remains to be seen if Napoli would be willing to sell to the Red Devils over PSG.
Should Osimhen sign for PSG, it would mark a return to the Ligue 1 having played one season for Lille before joining Napoli for a club-record fee of €75m in 2020.
