Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti rang the changes after the hour mark, and he decided to take off his star striker Victor Osimhen and replaced him with Giovanni Simeone.
However, the Nigerian attacker was unhappy with the decision, as he left the pitch seething with rage.
Lautaro Martinez chasing down Osimhen
The race for the Serie A title has been won by Napoli, but that of the golden boot is still on, with Argentine striker Martinez breathing down the neck of Osimhen.
Victor Osimhen currently has 23 goals to his name so far, but Lautaro Martinez is just three goals behind the Nigerian.
Osimhen would have loved to add to his goal tally in the game against Inter Milan but was denied the opportunity after he was substituted.
Napoli keeps firing in the goals
Not long after Osimhen was subbed off, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku drew Inter Milan level after a good play by Dirmaco.
Despite Osimhen’s anger at his substitution, Spalletti’s side was still able to brush aside the Nerazzurris.
Two late goals from captain Di Lorenzo in the 85th minute and a 90th-minute Gaetano goal sealed a comfortable 3-1 win.
