Chelsea stars Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke have written their names in the Premier League history books alongside some legends of the competition after inspiring Chelsea’s sensational 6-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Palmer and Madueke dismantle Wolves
Chelsea recorded their first win of the new Premier League season away to Wolves at the Molineux as the Blues’ attack ran rampant in a humbling victory for the visitors.
Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, and latest signing Joao Felix scored a goal each in Chelsea’s 6-2 win, but the team’s highlight would have been Madueke’s stunning second-half hattrick.
Not only did the England youth international score a hat-trick in only 17 minutes, but all three of his goals were provided by the same person as Palmer added three assists to his goal against Wolves.
Palmer and Madueke enter elite group
The Chelsea stars’ combination to take down Wolves was one for the history books, as Palmer and Madueke became only the fifth duo to team up for three goals in the same match.
Not since Harry Kane provided all three assists for Heung-Min Son in 2020 had any player provided all three assists for his teammate’s hat-trick in the Premier League.
