Pogba, 31, has been one of Didier Deschamps' trusted soldiers. He was in the squad that reached the 2016 Euro finals; he won the World Cup with Les Bleues in 2018; and he was brilliant in Euro 2020.

Injuries kept him out of Qatar 2022, and his ban, following a failed doping test, is keeping him out of football now. Nonetheless, Pogba is following the progress of his country and appeared in a viral clip celebrating the win over Portugal with Tanzanian Afrobeats star Diamond Platinumz.

While the match was going on, Pogba shared on Instagram that he was watching the game with Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinumz.

Diamond is one of the biggest pop stars on the continent, thanks to smash hits like My Number One, which featured Davido, Mawazo, Waah, and most recently, Komasava.

“I'm here with my brother; he came to support the team,” Pogba said before the camera panned on the Tanzanian popstar.
