Premier League: Chelsea contact London police after mysterious training ground incident
Chelsea have alerted Surrey Police after £30,000 worth of camera equipment vanished from their Cobham training ground.
With the Premier League season approaching, first-team players returned to Cobham this week, only to discover the missing gear.
While there’s hope the equipment was simply misplaced and may resurface as staff return from summer breaks, the club deemed the incident suspicious enough to involve authorities.
According to The Sun, the footage from training and matches is vital for enhancing players’ tactical, physical, technical, and mental performance. Chelsea declined to comment on the situation, but more details are expected to emerge.
Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca and his men look primed for a strong season, after winning two trophies last time out, including the Club World Cup, where they defeated PSG 3-0 in a shock final performance.

Chelsea begin their 2025/26 Premier League campaign on August 17 with a home clash against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, and will find out their UEFA Champions League opponents on August 28.
