Nico Williams’ deal with Athletic Club ends in 2024, meaning that any side that wins the race to sign the fleet-footed attacker will be getting one of the most exciting prospects in LaLiga for free.

Barcelona are believed to be the front-runners for the youngster’s signature, but their financial troubles could mean one of the two English clubs stand a chance of usurping them to land Nico Williams.
