PSG to sign Manchester City star as Lionel Messi's replacement
Messi is expected to leave PSG at the conclusion of the current campaign after the club decided against renewing his contract because they want to rebuild a new team.
Bernardo Silva who was on Barcelona’s radar last summer was instrumental in Man City’s title charge and has caught the eye of PSG as they look to find a replacement for their outgoing superstar.
PSG monitoring Silva and other targets
The 28-year-old is a new target for Le Parisien and are considering signing him as a replacement for Lionel Messi.
In light of Le Parisien's news that City star Silva is at the top of their wanted list this summer, Messi's departure from PSG will ensure that wages are not an issue for the French club.
It is also claimed that they are monitoring other transfer targets aside from Silva with players such as Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen on their list.
PSG are looking to rebuild their team ahead of next season and are looking to bring in suitable signings to kick-start their new project.
Jose Mourinho linked with PSG managerial position
PSG are also looking to replace current manager Christophe Galtier next season and has identified Roma’s head coach Jose Mourinho as a replacement.
While the club's board is rumoured to be dissatisfied with the current manager Christophe Galtier, Jose Mourinho has been widely linked to the PSG managing role for the upcoming season.
Since his move to Italy, the Portuguese have performed admirably, guiding Roma to a Uefa Europa Conference League victory in his first season and reestablishing his track record as a consistent winner.
Jose Mourinho, the manager of AS Roma, has, however, shot down rumours that he will take the PSG job at the end of the current campaign.
