Ramsdale moved to Arsenal from Sheffield United in August 2021 for an initial £24million. The England international is halfway through the four-year deal he signed when he moved to the Emirates Stadium and his performances over the course of the season have earned him a new deal,
Arsenal have forfeited the option to extend that deal by a further year to June 2026 by deciding to discuss fresh terms now.
Excellent move by both parties
He has played a major role in helping Arsenal compete for the Premier League title this season, keeping 13 Premier League clean sheets in a stellar campaign.
Ramsdale has also been capped three times by England and with the form he is currently showing, he could very well displace Everton's Jordan Pickford as the country's first choice.
