Real Madrid do not need Kylian Mbappe — Lord of the Rings star

Renowned actor and devoted Real Madrid fan, Viggo Mortensen, shared his candid thoughts on the possible transfer of Kylian Mbappé to the Spanish giants.

With Mbappé's future at PSG uncertain, Mortensen believes that Real Madrid might not necessarily benefit from the acquisition.

In an interview with La Provence, Mortensen, expressed his straightforward view on the potential transfer of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid.

In his words, "Real Madrid does not need Kylian Mbappé. It’s just for the ego of President Florentino Perez.' Mortensen further added, 'Me, I think that with Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, we have what we need, it’s not necessary. He should have come to Real two years ago. It’s too late."

Despite Mbappé's stellar footballing abilities, Viggo Mortensen's stance aligns with Barcelona president Joan Laporta's belief that Mbappé's arrival could potentially disrupt the harmony of the current Real Madrid squad.

The actor, known for his roles in 'Lord of the Rings' and collaborations with director David Cronenberg, fears that such a high-profile signing might upset the balanced team dynamics meticulously crafted by the club.
