Real Madrid new boy Arda Guler injured again, ruled out for weeks

Arda Guler has suffered a setback in his recovery and is expected to miss action for Real Madrid for several weeks.

Güler, 18, joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce for a fee of around €20 million in July, fending off strong competition from Barcelona for his services.

According to ESPN, the talented playmaker has suffered a thigh problem that will now keep him out of action for another 3 weeks.

Guler is yet to feature for Los Blancos after suffering a knee injury that required surgery just before the start of the season.

Real Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Arda Guler has suffered a quad muscle injury.

"After the tests carried out on our player Arda Güler by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the left rectus femoris muscle," the club said in a statement on Tuesday. "His progress will be monitored."
