Meanwhile, defending league champions, Barcelona, have the chance to reclaim the top spot with this fixture.

The team is in excellent spirits despite injury worries, and a  6-1 victory over Olympiacos in midweek will serve as an extra motivation. An unlikely hero, Fermin Lopez, scored a hat-trick with Marcus Rashford and Lamine Yamal both on the score sheet.

Kylian Mbappe is on a scoring spree and will once again be available to play against Barcelona, a side he is already used to scoring against. However, Xabi Alonso will be without Rudiger, David Alaba, and probably Arnord, who will undergo a final fitness test to see if he can feature in his first El Clasico.

While Madrid's attackers are sharp and ready for this clash, the Spanish coach's headache will be the absence of key players in his defence line.

For Barcelona, Raphinha is back training with the team and may be available for the match. With the absence of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres in doubt, Marcus Rashford will lead the attack in his first match against Madrid.

Hansi Flick who will not be in the touch line due to suspension (red card), he will rely on Lamine yamal to trouble Madrid's defense.
