Reece James wants me to come back — Ex Chelsea player on future plans

AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham has taken to life in Italy like a duck to water, scoring goals and helping Jose Mourinho’s team achieve success.

Abraham made the decision to leave Chelsea after falling out of favour under former boss Thomas Tuchel. Roma came in and snapped him up in an instant and it has been blissful for both parties.

In an interview with TMW, the 25-year-old insisted he had to leave to progress his career.

"Everything I knew was Chelsea apart from a few loan moves, but even now, I think it was the right time to leave. I was ready to take a step forward in my career," Abraham said.

Despite his departure, Abraham maintains contact with several Chelsea players as well as other stars at London sides.

I still talk to so many Chelsea players, James always tells me to come back," he added.

"We grew up together and have known each other for years - players like Mason Mount, Declan] Rice and Eddie Nketiah. 

What next for Tammy

Tammy has been linked to a host of top Premier a league clubs this summer. Manchester United, former club Chelsea and even Aston Villa have been credited with an interest but for now he remains focused on Mourinho’s Roma and winning the Europa League.
