Chelsea have reportedly set a demand for the services of Romelu Lukaku for the summer of 2024.
The 28-year-old striker is currently on loan at Roma from the West London club after spending last season at Inter.
Lukaku thriving on loan at Roma
The striker had a torrid time over the course of the summer transfer window, as his relationship with Inter, who he was with on loan last season, became fractured.
He was also linked with Juventus, but the club's finances, as well as the Old Lady Ultras kicking against the move, saw the deal fall through.
He eventually joined Jose Mourinho's Roma and is currently thriving, scoring seven goals in his last eight games.
Chelsea set selling price
Regardless of Lukaku's goal-scoring form and Chelsea's striker problem, his return to the club seems unlikely, with the relationship between both parties having deteriorated.
Despite signing him for a club record £97.5 million fee from Inter in 2022, the Blues are reportedly willing to cut their losses and have set an asking price for a transfer in the summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are willing to take a hit of up to £60 million for the striker and have set a fee of around £37 million for Lukaku's exit next season.
