Rickman's call to FUFA about his father for Uganda Cranes job

The latter had been in the role in his second stint for the past two years, but with a year to go, his contract was mutually terminated.

And, Rickman feels his 'UEFA A licenced' father is a worthy replacement for the hot-seat.

"Coach Kabuye would make a good Uganda Cranes coach indeed. Overly qualified football genius. I hope FUFA does the needful," Rickman tweeted.

It should be noted that Kabuye is a hugely qualified 'UEFA A' licensed coach, who studied his coaching badges in Germany.

Kabuye also holds a United States Soccer Federation Level A coaching license among several other coaching qualifications.

He has previously been part of the United States national U-17 coaching staff in 2002.

He has coached several other youth and senior sides in Germany and USA, where he also served as a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP).

Kabuye is a highly learned man, who also holds a Bachelors and Masters' degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas El Paso.

A number of football enthusiasts have fronted other local names, including Mike Mutebi, Sam Ssimbwa, Abdallah Mubiru and many more.

Micho's departure followed Uganda Cranes' failure to qualify for the Cote D'Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last week.

This was only a spark after a series of unpleasant results, unrecognizable football and dismal shows at tournaments, including the failed African Nations Championships in January.

In the Cameroon edition, Uganda failed to make the knockout rounds having finished third in Group B.
