Road to BAL: Jimmy Enabu, three others out as City Oilers name travelling team to Johannesburg
Nine-time National Basketball League champions City Oilers have named their travelling team to South Africa to get started with the journey to the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The team is slated to depart for Johannesburg, South Africa, later on Saturday for the competition, which is set for November 21 to 26.
However, hugely experienced Point Guard Jimmy Enabu has not made the cut for the prestigious pre-continental tournament.

"The City Oilers BAL roster is out as Jimmy Enabu missed out due to unavoidable circumstances," the club confirmed via the social media handles.
Others missing from the team are Ben Komakech, Rual Luak, Henry Muliira, and Ceaser Kizito.
Even then, the roster still boasts a vast number of big names, including Roubeck Germaine Vashon Jr, Miller Dane Anthony Jr, Petty Parrish, Fayed Baale and Tonny Drileba.
Ivan Muhwezi, Titus Lual Odeke, James Okello, Robinson Opong Odoch, Alan Brandon Sebirumbi, Allawi Ssenkubuge and Edrine Walujjo have also made the 12-man roster.
The Oilers will be keen to extend their local dominance to Africa as they take on seven other teams for a slot in the 2024 Basketball Africa League.
They are pooled in Group B along with Mozambique's Ferroviaro da Bera, Madagascar's COSPN and JBC from Zimbabwe.
The top three teams in the competition join three others qualified from the West Division Elite 16, plus six teams that boast direct entry to the BAL.
