Carlo Ancelotti made seven changes to his side that lost to Real Sociedad on Tuesday with Karim Benzema leading the team for the final. Osasuna's manager on the other hand made eight changes to his side that lost to Barcelona.

Madrid took the early lead in the 2nd minute of the game as Vinicius Junior played the ball to Rodrygo, whose deflected shot from inside the box went past the helpless Sergio Herrera.

Madrid kept searching for the second goal but were unable to convert their chances. The referee blew for half-time with Madrid in the lead.

The second half started with more composure from Osasuna. They got the equaliser in the 58th minute when a rebound arrived at the feet of Lucas Torro just outside the box. He didn't think twice before firing a brilliant shot into the bottom left corner with his attempt beyond the reach of Thibaut Courtois.

Real Madrid were not looking to back down just yet as they took the lead again in the 70th minute. Rodrygo scored his second goal of the game after tapping home from almost on the goal line after a lucky rebound fell at his feet.

The referee blew the final whistle and Real Madrid were crowned the Copa Del Rey champions for the first time since the 2013/2014 season.
