Roma star Chris Smalling’s home robbed by thieves as they try escaping with a safe
Chris Smalling who plays for AS Roma currently lives with his wife Sam Cooke and his child Leo Asher in Italy.
The defender made a transfer move from Manchester United to the Italian side Roma in 2020 including his family.
Chris Smalling has previously been the victim of a robbery a few years ago in Italy that targeted him and his family.
Smalling robbed
According to Italian media, on Monday, attackers attacked his home in Tor Carbone, which is located in the Appia Antica neighbourhood.
It was reported by the Sun that a group of robbers stormed into Samlling’s home by destroying a window and tried to steal a safe.
The group is said to be "professionals" by the media, and its origins are thought to be in Eastern Europe.
It is said that a forensic team has been contacted and that police are looking into the situation.
Police will question the former Manchester United player to acquire an account of what was taken.
The incident occurred two years after the defender was robbed at gunpoint with his family. Three hooded guys burst into Smalling's home in 2021, robbing him in front of his infant son Leo and wife Sam Cooke.
The Smalling family was left in total distress after the robbery attack and needed police intervention.
