"I think he is in a privileged position, he is playing for Manchester United. I've said before, he is the one player, I really believe, can go and break my goalscoring records. I hope he does because he is a Manchester lad," he told TNT Sport.

"But I think he needs to get some consistency. Of course, he is not having the best of seasons but he needs to find some form and consistency and become a leader in this team."
