'See you soon' — Cristiano Ronaldo declares ahead of legendary showdown with great rival Messi

Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to his social media to drop a hint suggesting he could be fit for the clash against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.

The Saudi Pro League side canceled their tour of China this week, owing to an injury suffered by their superstar captain, and this heightened fears that the 38-year-old could miss the mid-season showdown against MLS side Inter Miami.

However, Ronaldo took to his Instagram page to allay the fears of his adoring fans by posting a photo showing him waving at the fans from the team bus with the caption "See you soon"

Ronaldo is the most followed account on Instagram with 618M followers and is one of the most popular figures in the world. 

For Inter Miami and Al Nassr fans, the game will certainly lose its appeal, should Ronaldo miss out through injury, but the Saudi side will hope to have the ex-Manchester United star fit and ready to rekindle his iconic rivalry with Messi.

 The pair will meet at the 2024 Riyadh Season Cup on February 1, 2024.
