Pockets of heartwarming situations were scattered across Wembley Stadium, with players and fans celebrating with their family members after Real Madrid's UCL triumph over Borussia Dortmund, but one involving Jose Mourinho and Jude Bellingham stood out.
Los Blancos defeated Edin Terzic’s Dortmund 2-0 thanks to goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr, to lift their 15th Champions League title. It was Bellingham’s first, and it came against his old team, with his family all watching from the stands.
Mourinho and Bellingham's mother
Incoming Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho was a guest analyst on TNT Sport's coverage of the Champions League final and was making post-game comments when Jude Bellingham approached him.
The 20-year-old appeared to whisper something in Jose’s ears before taking him to be introduced to his mother. His mum, Denise, is a fan of Jose’s as Bellingham quipped “I had to ask Jose to take a picture with my mum, she’s fancied him for years,” before taking a picture of her and the former Chelsea boss.
"Sorry about that, my mum's fancied you for years!" 🤣🥰
