Enugu-based media personality and Philanthropist Okwuluora has announced plans to purchase and distribute 30-50 additional Enugu Rangers jerseys ahead of the team’s highly anticipated return to the Cathedral.
Enugu Rangers welcome Shooting Stars on Thursday in the NPFL in their first game at the venue in over two years, with Okwuluora looking to attract fans to the Stadium with goodies.
Okwuluora’s plans for Rangers fans
The respected Rangers fans took to his social media account to make the pronouncement after a visit from the club’s vibrant General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku.
According to him, fans of the Flying Antelopes should be on the lookout for him as he would have the items which range from kits to snacks and bottles of water in his car.
"Today, I will buy 30-50 more Enugu Rangers jerseys,” he posted on his Facebook page. “I will put them in my car. Anywhere you see me and ask for one, I will give you one.
He encouraged the supporters who were unable to get their hands on the club’s official gear to wear white or red to the stadium in support of the Flying Antelopes.
"We want every football club to accept defeat before coming to Enugu State," he added.
More giveaways for Rangers fans
He boasted that Rangers would hit Shooting Stars before stating in separate posts that the gesture, which includes giving 1000 water bottles and snacks, is their own way of supporting the club.
“We will hit Shooting Stars hard," Okwuluora said further. "Please plan to be inside the stadium before 3:30 pm tomorrow.
“Tomorrow for Enugu Rangers! Please start planning to be in Enugu tomorrow Afternoon! I am also planning to buy 1000 bottles of Mineral, Water and Snacks! This is our own and this sacrifice is necessary!
I can't wait to see you clapping for the boys inside Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium tomorrow. The experience and fun will be worth it.”
