Shooting Stars unveil Alimi Brothers

The Ibadan Warriors have finally made the double transfers official.

The Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) have unveiled the Alimi brothers, Sikiru Alimi, striker, and Adebayo Alimi.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2022/2023 side are the NPFL-Mmobuosi Super four Cup champions as put together by the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

Alimi Brothers join 3SC

Sikiru Alimi, a former Remo Stars striker, joined 3SC from Darnes SC on a free transfer.

Sikiru was with Remo stars last season, where he scored nine goals in five months with the Ikenne-based side.

His brother, Adebayo Alimi, joined MFM FC of Lagos in 2020 on a free transfer.

Shooting stars made the transfers official during after unveiling the players on Thursday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

Adebayo Alimi said this is a great moment for Alimi family as both players will be playing in a team for the first time.

The defender noted that they're following in the footsteps of their father who plays professional football.

He said during the unveiling, "Growing up from a football family, our father played from the top level, while I choose to be a defender my brother chooses the path of our Father late Alimi Abdulrasheed Bello, this moment is a great one for the family because for the first time in our history we will play together for the same team"
