Along with the post was a message that said, "Thank you, Denver. As a kid from Slovenia, you gave me a chance, believed in me, and shaped me into the man and player I am today.

"Thank you for every memory, good and bad. Over these wonderful six years, I've met some amazing people both on and off the court, and Denver will always be my second home.

During his six years in Colorado, Čančar's impact was modest as a squad rotation player.

His most significant contribution came during the Nuggets' championship season, where he averaged five points in just under 15 minutes of play across 60 games.
