Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, currently on loan at Real Sociedad has dismissed the idea of returning to the Premier League club in January to address Mikel Arteta's growing defensive concerns.

Oleksandr Zinchenko was absent from the 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage and Takehiro Tomiyasu, has joined the Japan squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Tierney rules out Arsenal return

While Tierney insists his relationship with Arteta remains intact, he has no intention of returning to Arsenal this month to help his parent club.

He said: (via Sportskeeda) “Several people have already asked me if I was going to return to Arsenal now and the answer is no. I’m going to stay here for sure.

 “As for staying here longer, the decision is not mine. But the only thing I can say is that I love playing for Real. And I’m enjoying it very much.”
