Stanley Wilson: Rising Stars one of the best squads Kenya has produced
Rising Stars sensation Stanley Wilson is confident that the team will do well at the upcoming Malawi Four Nations Tournament this weekend.
Wilson, who is on an ongoing trial with Swedish side AIK, was speaking ahead of the side’s open media training session that took place at the Kasarani Annex on Monday afternoon.
The Kenya U20 side have already taken part in one preparation match against Tusker Youth, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw, and will be jetting out alongside Harambee Stars to Malawi in the forthcoming days.

Wilson has described Salim Babu’s latest squad as one of the best selections he has been part of.
“The team is good. This is one of the best squads I have witnessed selected. The boys are together and we know each other very well. I am confident we will do well," he said.
Babu named 12 players from the squad that reached the finals of the CECAFA U-18 championships in Kisumu last December, and Wilson believes it will benefit the team as a whole because they already have a good understanding.
“It matters a lot because in football, there is a chemistry that players can benefit from a team. When we met for the first time before the tournament, we bonded and became a family, so meeting again for the second time makes it easier," he added.
Wilson is adamant the side have the capability to win the tournament, which will go a long way as they continue preparing for the upcoming CECAFA U20 tournament set to take place later this year, with the winner automatically qualifying for the AFCON U20 tournament next year.
Wilson is adamant the side can win the invitational in Malawi, but acknowledges it will not be easy.
“You do not want to lose any tournament as a player. I know it is going to be tough over there but I feel we are well prepared to face anyone who comes before us," said Wilson.
“I have never underrated anyone and I am always ready to face anyone, and I am sure we are going to come back home with the trophy!”
