Stefanie Ladewig: Osimhen’s German girlfriend connects to his Edo roots with Shallipopi’s ‘Obapluto’

Stefanie Kim Ladewig has never been shy of showing her love for Afrobeats.

The 23-year-old German beauty rose to prominence after Pulse Sports first revealed that she is the girlfriend of Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen.

Ladewig currently has a daughter with the Napoli star, although, the couple love to keep their child away from the spotlight.

Stefanie Ladewig, who recently celebrated her 23rd birthday was spotted vibing to yet another Afrobeats song.

The 23-year-old German beauty took her Instagram story to share a clip of herself singing along to ‘Obapluto’ - a song of the 2023 EP Planet Pluto by emerging Nigerian singer Crown Uzama popularly known as “Shallipopi”.

Osimhen’s girlfriend is seemingly connecting well to his cultural roots as he and Shallipopi hail from the same state.

Obapluto is the first track of Shallipopi’s debut EP and is a song that is sampled off veteran Edo singer Pa Monday Igbinidu’s “Obapluto”(N’ogbaisi).

The song is a fusion of Afrobeat and Amapiano and caused legal problems for Shallipopi, after the Pa Monday Igbinidu reportedly slapped the 23-year-old singer with a lawsuit for illegally sampling his original song.

This would not be the first time Osimhen’s girlfriend has connected with Afrobeats.

She has previously been spotted vibing to songs from Afrobeat stars Rema, Ayra Starr, Fireboy and Tems.

Pulse Sports also reported that Stefanie Ladewig was also in attendance at AfroNation Portugal which took place in July this year.
