Steph Curry breaks silence after Warriors sent packing by Timberwolves in disappointing fashion

The Golden State Warriors' 2024-25 season came to an abrupt end after they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Conference Semifinals, losing the series 4-1.

The team faced a significant setback with Stephen Curry's absence due to a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring, which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Without Curry on the court, the Warriors struggled to mount a strong challenge. Curry expressed his frustration and heartbreak, saying,

"All we wanted was a chance... There's a lot to be proud of for sure, considering where we were, but definitely disappointed and frankly just sad that I wasn't out there and able to play."

Looking ahead, Curry addressed the future of the franchise, highlighting the short-term nature of key contracts. "Our contracts — mine, Draymond's [Green], Steve's [Kerr] and Jimmy's [Butler] — are for two more years," he noted.

"We want this run to last as long as possible. But it really comes down to what this team needs for next year — figuring that out over the summer, getting ourselves ready individually to push through another 82-game season.

"Hopefully have a bit more peace at the end, without going through a two-month grind just to reach the playoffs."
