Segun Odegbami, a revered name in Nigerian football, singled out Aina for his exemplary play. Addressing the Super Eagles before their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations game against Guinea Bissau, Odegbami was full of praise for the 27-year-old right-back. 

"I saw one of the best and most masterful displays of the right-wing in Aina," Odegbami remarked, as captured by NFF media.

He further suggested that Aina's performance should be used as a teaching example worldwide, stating, “That your last match, they should go and copy it and send it to every football school in the world who want to know how to play that position, look at how Aina played."
