Super Eagles winger Chukwueze set for AC Milan medicals

Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze is reportedly set for medicals at AC Milan as he looks to complete his move to Italy from Villarreal.

The Nigerian forward was in outstanding form for the Yellow Submarine in the 2022/23 season and has attracted interest from some of Europe’s best teams.

Chukwueze scored 13 goals and assisted 11 more for Villarreal in 50 games in all competitions during the last campaign, winning LaLiga’s MVP award for the season as a reward.

Milan finally beat other interested teams to the Nigerian’s signature, with a €28 million bid almost finalised between the Rossoneri and Villarreal.

With the signing close to being completed, Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Chukwueze could undergo a medical to finalise his move to Milan on Monday or Tuesday this week.

The Nigerian winger has been with Villarreal since 2017 after joining the Yellow Submarine’s youth team directly from Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria following a superb U-17 World Cup showing in 2015.

Chukwueze has grown into one of the most threatening wingers in LaLiga during his time at Villarreal and would love to test his talents in Serie A and the Champions League with AC Milan.
