Tanzania vs Burkina Faso Preview

This is the second meeting between Tanzania and Burkina Faso after they faced off in the Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar in January 2025 when the Stallions won 2-0 and the co-hosts will be looking to make amends this time.

Tanzania are leaning on home support as well as their aggression and pressing while the Burkinabe are known for their physicality and pace on the break, offering contrasting styles in the opening match.

“We are ready. We’ve worked hard in camp and the boys are hungry. We want to give the country something to smile about,” said Tanzania goalkeeper Aishi Manula.
