TCC TOTW: Imperial lead, Beyond Limits and others follow in team of the week

Imperial Football Club was the biggest winner on week five of the 2023/2024 TCC campaign. 

A big performance inspired by bashir Abdulkareem, who was the standout player for the matchday, saw Imperial seal an emphatic 7-1 win over Escola United. 

Abdulkareem was heavily involved in that big display from Imperial as he contributed three of the seven goals.

His performance, which saw him score two goals and assisted another goal, earned him the Player of the Week title. 

But that was not all, the talented forward also made the team of the week, alongside two other teammates.

Strike patter, Joel Ashuku, he helped himself to a brace in the same encounter, and midfielder Eric Ologe. 

While the biggest winners were represented by as many as three players, they are quickly followed by defending champions, Beyond Limits, and Dannaz, with two players apiece.

The No Limits side have superstar Kparobo Arierhi, who is in fine scoring form, and defender Ladan Muhammed. 

For Dannaz, Mufutau Osholonge is the team’s goalkeeper while his teammate, Woleola Sheriff joins Ologe in midfield. 

Completing the attack is Bakare Ayomide of Broad City, with Thomas Ude, Real Sapphire right back, also sitting pretty in the exalted team. 

The Creative Championship Team of The Week, for matchday five, is coached by Adedeji Ayeoba of Imperial.
