He also described the former Leicester City boss as the worst manager he ever played under.

Balotelli played under Rodgers in 2014 after Liverpool brought the former Italy international from AC Milan for £16million.

However, his struggle for form was evident, scoring only one goal in 16 Premier League appearances, with his overall performance at Anfield yielding a miserly total of 4 goals in 28 games.

Upon Jurgen Klopp's arrival at Liverpool in 2015, Balotelli sensed the end of his time at the club and subsequently departed to join Nice. Following this move, a public feud between the striker and Rodgers began.

Balotelli slams Brendan Rodgers

"Brendan Rodgers is the worst coach I had in my career.

"While he excelled in training sessions, particularly in ball possession and small-sided games, as a person, he was a disaster."

Rodgers, 50, has previously criticised Balotelli's lack of input at Anfield after being signed to replace Luis Suarez.
