In his first 12 races with the Prancing Horse, the seven-time world champion has failed to secure a single podium finish, marking the worst stretch of his illustrious career. His only highlights came in the sprint races in China and Miami, where he finished first in Shanghai and third in Miami.

Despite the disappointing results, the seven-time champion remains determined to succeed with Ferrari, adamant that he won't follow in the footsteps of Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

Both drivers joined the Scuderia hoping to add another world title to their names, but ultimately fell short. Ferrari's last championship came courtesy of Kimi Raikkonen in 2007.

What Hamilton said

Ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, Hamilton revealed he met with Ferrari's top brass, including Chairman John Elkann, CEO Benedetto Vigna, and Team Principal Frederic Vasseur.

During the meeting, Hamilton presented documentation outlining his perspective on how to unlock the team's potential, as reported by Sportal.

“I prepared these documents because I see massive potential in this team. The passion is unparalleled, but it’s a large organisation with many moving parts, not all of which are working harmoniously. I believe this is the reason we haven't achieved the success the team deserves.

"My role is to challenge everyone, especially those at the top, to make the necessary changes. Look at the team over the past 20 years; they’ve had incredible drivers like Kimi, Fernando, and Sebastian—all champions—but Alonso and Vettel didn't win titles with Ferrari.

"I refuse to let that happen to me. That’s why I’m putting in the extra effort. I’ve been fortunate to be part of two other great teams, and while things are different here culturally, if we take the same approach, we’ll achieve the same results. Everyone is responding well; we’re improving in many areas and constantly adapting.

"There’s still work to be done, but it’s going in the right direction. I'm trying to build alliances within the organisation and boost morale. I'm here to win, and for me, this is crunch time.

"I truly believe in this team's potential. I truly believe we can win multiple championships together. This team has a great legacy, and during my time here, that's my sole focus,” Hamilton told the media at Spa.
