They will sell him after the game — Alan Shearer makes Chelsea transfer claim
Alan Shearer believes Chelsea could make a big sale after their Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
The Blues have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with a £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and a £60 million move for Joao Pedro from Brighton last week. Delap and Pedro have hit the ground running, while Nicolas Jackson was benched for the 2-1 win over Palmeiras.
Arsenal have been linked with the 24-year-old, signed from Villarreal for £32m two years ago, as Mikel Arteta seeks a new striker.
Alan Shearer believes Chelsea will sell Nicolas Jackson
Shearer, on The Rest Is Football podcast, said:
“I don’t know, am I playing devil’s advocate here in thinking Jackson may be the one? That wouldn’t surprise me if he was sold to someone, whether in our country or not, that’s one that wouldn’t surprise me if they made that decision.
"They’ve got some serious options in every forward position, so he is the one that could be sold."
