The incident unfolded as Martinez halted his black Range Rover, stepped out of his vehicle, and directly confronted the child, sparking a scene that shocked onlookers.

Dressed casually in a white t-shirt, grey shorts, and white trainers, Martinez approached the young fan, who also advanced towards him.

Eyewitnesses described the intensity of the exchange, with the seasoned centre-back unleashing a torrent of anger directly at the supporter, gesticulating vehemently and raising his voice in apparent frustration.

A bystander said, as reported by the Sun, "It was unclear what sparked the incident," as Martinez delivered a heated rant in Spanish, lasting approximately 20 seconds. Despite the intensity of his words, there was no physical contact reported.

According to witnesses, Martinez's words echoed through the street: "This is the last time you call me a fool or insult me, the last time you and your friend insult me."

As tensions peaked, the child, clad in a black hoody and grey joggers, was eventually led away from the confrontation, bringing an end to the heated exchange. Martinez swiftly returned to his vehicle, leaving behind a bewildered audience. 

A video capturing the incident circulated after being shared on X, prompting speculation and comments from fans.

Martinez's journey to Barcelona saw him transition from Real Sociedad to Basque rivals Athletic Bilbao before joining the Catalan giants on a free transfer last summer.

Despite the off-field incident, Martinez has remained a pivotal figure on the pitch, amassing 19 appearances in his debut season, with notable performances including the recent 1-0 victory over Las Palmas.
