Arokodare, 24, earned his first call-up to the Super Eagles and made his debut as a second-half substitute in Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Four days later, the young forward secured his second cap in a dramatic encounter against Zimbabwe.

While he came off the bench to replace Victor Osimhen, who netted both goals in the Rwanda victory, against Zimbabwe, Arokodare played a key role in the build-up to Osimhen’s strike.

However, the joy was short-lived as the Warriors mounted a late comeback, scoring an equaliser that left the Super Eagles devastated.
