Toni Payne: Super Falcons star goes from 'beating' at Sevilla to Copa Andalucía final
American-born Nigerian professional footballer Antionette Oyedupe Payne is back on the social media trends.
After her exploits for the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Payne is back to her club side Sevilla in Spain and on course for a trophy.

Payne received a playful beating from her teammates as she returned to Sevilla earlier in the week.
In a video on their social media platforms, Payne is seen receiving touches from her teammates upon her return to the club.

The 26-year-old did not return to Nigeria although she started all four games for the Super Falcons at the tournament.
Payne who started all four Super Falcons games as they were knocked out by the Lionesses of England via penalties in the round of 16 is set to compete for Sevilla in the Andalusian Cup final.

Payne was on the bench as Sevilla Feminino recorded a 4-1 victory against Granada Feminino in the Andalusian Cup semifinal earlier this week.
She did not start the game but came on to make an impact as Sevilla cruised to a comfortable victory.
Payne late in the game bagged an assist locating Cristina Martín-Prieto down the middle to score teh fourth for Sevilla and wrap up the win.
The victory now means that Payne and her Sevilla teammates will have a chance at a trophy to start the season.
Payne and Sevilla will take on Sporting de Huelva in the Andalusian Cup final set for Sunday, August 27, 2023.
