Gabon national football team striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up about how he manages to keep going after netting four goals in their World Cup qualifier match against Gambia at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was unquestionably the star of the match, finding the back of the net in the 20th, 42nd, 62nd, and 78th minutes.
However, he was later dismissed after being shown a red card, but that did not overshadow his dominant display.

Following Gabon’s win, the Panthers maintained second place with 22 points, just one behind the Ivory Coast, who also won 7-0 in their match against Seychelles.

The former Arsenal star explained that he has learnt how to maintain discipline and put in the work to ensure he is fit on match day.
The 36-year-old expressed pride in the team’s performance, praising his teammates for the crucial assists that allowed him to produce clinical finishes and find the back of the net.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang revealed that he wanted to step up his game after a poor showing in Gabon’s match against the Ivory Coast, where they were held to a goalless draw.
“I think the most important thing when you are my age is to keep working and try to be fit, and I think I’m fit. I had some good assists from my guys, and I’ve been clinical, so I’m very happy, four shots, four goals, top striker, you know,” Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said after the match.
“It was important for me to show the way because in our match against the Ivory Coast, our guys played very well, and I underperformed a bit, and I was not happy with that. I wanted to show the way, and I did it.”

After the match, thousands of fans chanted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s name, making it clear they had come to the stadium to witness his greatness.
Playing in Kenya for the second time in the World Cup qualifiers, after Gabon’s 2-1 win over the Harambee Stars in March, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said he has enjoyed his time in the country and loves the atmosphere in the stadium.
“I’m very happy to see some nice people here, and as I said last time, I’m very happy to be here in Kenya. There are lovely people in the stadium, and thank you very much for the support,” he added.
Gabon are scheduled to clash against Burundi on Tuesday, October 14 at the Stade de Franceville, looking to secure all the maximum points and hopefully secure an automatic slot to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
