Travis Mutyaba joins Zamalek on long-term contract
Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder Travis Mutyaba has joined Egyptian and African football heavyweights Zamalek.
Mutyaba arrived in Egypt on Tuesday to finalize the fine details and has, this evening, put pen to paper.
The youngster has been tied to a long-term four-and-a-half-year employment contract with Zamalek.
Mutyaba's unveiling at Zamalek, who are five-time CAF Champions League winners, is now a matter of when rather than if.
He has been out of competitive club football since the conclusion of the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League League season in June at SC Villa.
It had been reported that Mutyaba would join Georgian outfit Dinamo Tbilisi after Villa, but nothing came to tangible fruition.
Besides Villa, Mutyaba has previously featured for the Vipers Junior Team, Synergy in the Futsal competition, Bulemeezi in the Buganda Masaza Cup, as well as Gombe High School.
